Q

How do you add fractions with different denominators 3/4+2/3

A

Find the LCM of the denominators, use this as the new denominator LCM of 3,4 is 12
For each fraction seperately times the top by whatever you times the bottom by
3/4 times top and bottom times 3 to get 9/12
2/3 times top and bottom times 4 to get 8/12
Now just add the numerators 9+8=17 so the answer is 17/12
