Prepositions are usually before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase. Prepositions are always followed by a noun or pronoun.
What is a phrase?
A phrase is collection of words that stand together as a single clause or sentence.
What is a clause?
A clause is a group of words that includes a subject and a verb.
What is the key difference between a clause and a phrase?
A clause is a group of words with a subject-verb unit.
A phrase is a group of words without a subject-verb unit. (Cannot change the time or tense of a group of words equals no verb present).
