What is a noun?
Names of people, places, things and ideas
What is a concrete noun?
Things you can touch, see or measure
E.g. dog, house, chair
What is an abstract noun?
Ideas, feelings and concepts
E.g. love, fear, birth
What are proper nouns?
Refer to specific individuals, thing of which there are only one
E.g. Brad Pitt, London, Mars
What is an adjective?
Describing words
Usually nouns and pronouns
What is a pre-modifying adjective?
It comes before the word it is describing
E.g. big red bus
What is a complement adjective?
Come after the word they are describing
E.g. the drug ecstasy is dangerous, man made and psychoactive.
What are verbs?
Doing words
Name the inflected verb bellow:
