Morphology: G negative cocci in pairs, identified in CSF
Virulence: capsule, DIC
Illness:
- # 2 cause of meningitis #1 in school children
- can cause 2ndary tissue necrosis
Prevention: Meningococcal conjugate vaccine/Group B meningococcal vaccine

- septic arthritis
Transmission:STD
Treatment: need Beta lactamase test
