E.coli
Most common coli form, has virulence plasmids. UTI’s, gastroenteritis, hemolytic uremic syndrome (sever kidney disorder) TRAVELERS DIARRHEA, similar to vibrio cholera.
Shigella
Parasite of digestive tract, very small infection dose. Enterotoxin, diarrhea, shigellosis (bacillary dysentery) shiga toxin is like ricin.
Salmonella
Salmonella typhi. Intestines and feces of birds, contaminated food. Typhoid fever. Weakness, abdominal pain constipation, headaches
Yersinia
Animal pathogen, bubonic plague (pneumonic plague with bubos)
Neisseria
Only gram negative to regularly cause disease, Pyogenic.
Gonorrhea, meningitidis (hemorrhagic lesions) meningitis
B. Pertussis
Nonmotile, inhaled in aerosols.
Whooping cough
Pseudomonas
Water and plants, soil and decay. Opportunistic, found in lungs of cystic fibrosis patients, infects sever burbs
Francisella tularensis:
Water parasite, zoonotic disease transferred by insect bite (tick or deer fly).
Tularemia.
Legionella pneumophilia
Inhalation of aerosols from h2o.
Legionnaires disease, pneumonia
