What is a key signature?
A key signature is a set of sharps or flats placed immediately after the clef on each line.

Which major key signature has one sharp?
The key of G major.
Which major key signature has only one flat?
The key of F major.
What is a time signature?
The time signature tells us how many beats are in each bar.
What do the numbers in the time signature tell us?
The top number tells us how many beats are in each bar.
The bottom number tells us what kind of beats they are.
What does four four time (or common time) mean?
It means there are four crotchet beats in each bar.
