what is a government?
a group of people who create and implement laws to deal with political, legal and economic issues in a country.
the Constitution is the supreme law of the country.
defines the structure of the government
provides legal framework for all activities of the country certain rights.
a government may be elected by the people of the country or it could take control though a coup.
a coup is when a government is overthrown.
South Africa has a democratically elected government that performs its functions in the public sector.
voters have to be people above 18 years of age and votes during a general election happen every 5 years for the political party of their choice to elect the national government.

is where all laws are debated, formulated and passed.
what is the executive branch?
implements the laws and in doing so, carries out duties delegated to them by the president.
what is the judicial branch?
includes all the courts of the country where decisions are made according to the prescriptions of the law.
