  • Counterfeiting puts too much supply into the market forcing prices to go down - Counterfeiting offers cheap versions of the original product and creating low or bad reputation for the original company

  • Can impact peoples health - Often poorly made - Destroy the original company’s reputation - Steals money Can that rightly belongs to the original company, businesses can then go broke and have to lay off many of their workers - Can use the money they make for criminal and/or terrorist activities
