  • Counterfeiting puts too much supply into the market forcing prices to go down - Counterfeiting offers cheap versions of the original causing a loss in demand for the original product and creating a low or bad reputation for the original company.

  1. they can effect people’s health in many negative ways 2. they can be discouraging because they are poorly made 3. they can destroy the original company’s reputation for the products they copy 4. counterfeiters steal the money that rightly belong to the original company and the businesses could go broke and have to lay off any of their workers 5. counterfeiters often use the money for criminal or terrorist activities.
