Autocracy
One person has the power (Example: Monarchy and Dictatorship)

Holds total control over the country

One political party is in power, and people are forced to do what the government tells them

The monarch holds some power, but it is restricted by a constitution

There is no sharing power with other authorities

When every citizen is given an equal vote in government

U.S citizens vote on representatives to make laws and decisions for the country, according to the rules laid out in the U.S constitution

No one is in charge. Everyone looks out for themselves, with no rules, no government, no order binding them together

Power to make laws, to enforce laws, and judicial powers (courts)
How does a presidential democracy work?
People directly vote for the country’s leader and legislature. The legislature makes laws and the president approves or denies the law
Parliamentary Democracy
A system of democratic governments where the head government derives their democratic legitimacy from their ability to command the support of the legislature
