the powa is given to the people, the citizens, of the nation

where citizens vote lawmakers to represent their intrests in the government
constitutional republic
U.S. citizens vote on represenitives to make laws and decisions for the country
theocracy
a government run by religeous doctrine
anarchy
NO ONE in is charge
indirect democracy
where citizens vote lawmakers to represent their intrests in the government
direct democracy
this is when every citizen is given an equal vote in government and, together, make all of the important decisions
presidential democracy
people directly vote for the countries leader and legislature
