Republic
What are the roles of government?
To make and enforce laws, protect people and provide public services.
What are three powers do all Government have?
Make Laws, enforce laws, and judiciary power (alter laws.
One political party is in power and people are forced to do what the government tells them
Totalitarian
a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.
Democracy
the electorate decides on policy initiatives without elected representatives as proxies.
Direct Democracy
when citizens elect representatives to make laws for them.
Indirect Democracy
a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god.
Theocracy
a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution.
Oligarchy
someone who has absolute power, or who at least behaves as if they do by bossing others around.
Dictatorship
the king or queen is by no means limited and has absolute power.
