- a system of decision-making that allows laws to be made and the public administration of a country, region or city to be carried out.
Define the term Constitution?
- is a written document which contains the most important laws and principles by which citizens of a country agree to be governed by
What are the 4 elements of a democracy
- a political system for choosing and replacing the government through free and fair elections

- protection of human rights of all citizens

What is a Referendum?
A vote that citizens of a country have to make on a particular issue on policy of national importance
What is a Secession?
The action of withdrawing formally from membership of a federation or body. This term is usually associated with a political state.

-the government provides leadership so that common goals for the nation are achieved
- the government collects taxes to pay for health, transportation, education, fire, police protection. etc.
