What is the west Lothian Question?
Why should a Scottish MP be allowed to vote in the UK parliament on laws relating to education which would have no effect on Scottish citizens
What is EVEL?
English votes for English laws.
A response to calls for English MPs having a stronger say after devolution, some laws in the parliament can be deemed to affect England or England and Wales.
Why has the SNP criticized EVEL?
many ‘english only’ laws end up having a very large knock on effect on Scotland
Why do some people argue that ending parliamentary sovereignty is a bad thing (federalism)?
It would give unelected judges more power and restrict the powers of the MPs to make changes

probably yeah but compared to overall gov spending it wouldn’t be that much
