Because he is a role model for all Christians showing them how to behave. He told them to care for the needy and love everyone.

A list of blessings which Jesus gave to tell people that the poor and those suffering would be blessed with eternal life if they preserved with their faith.
What is Jesus guiding people to accept
To accept some suffering in this life to ensure a place in heaven
What did Jesus say
He said he had “not come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it.” He is a source of authority as he is God incarnate telling people how to be a good Christian.
