What is the purpose of the plant mater mix?
A
To determine whether or not you successfully extracted plant DNA from test food, helps determine that you successfully amplified DNA, and thus amplified DNA with GMO primers

A
Helps determine if GM sequences are present in the DNA sample

Why is there a non gmo control
A
Helps ensure that PCR reactions aren’t contaminated by GMO positive DNA

CaMV promoter (203 bp fragment) and NOS termination (225 bp fragment)

A
Promoter - DNA sequences bound by RNA polymerase to initiate transcription
Terminator - DNA sequences that indicate when a transcript will end
