Yingying Love story
Fascinating story. Is it about Love, or infatuation, or power or morals? who seduces who? is Zhang not a super douche because his society where different? or just because they did not have a feminist analysis.
Moral of Yingying
Confucian philosophy of ritual. Confucius argued for Ritual togehter with Humaneness to be considered.
Here is there a tension between ritual, it´s dichotomy is Passion and desires. What to choose? He changes his minds later and goes for ritual, public duty and state before passion. Contemporarily did his friends (male?) think he did the right choice.
