What is Glomerulonephritis?
A
An umbrella term applied to conditions that cause inflammation of the glomerulus and nephron.

What is Interstitial Nephritis?
A
Inflammation of the space between the cells and the tubules (interstitial) within the kidney - this is not glomerulonephritis.

A
Pathological process of scarring of the glomerular tissue.
