There has been a movement to glocal organisations. These are people with contacts and form a lose knit organisation with them in the middle and is used for things such as drug trade.

McMafia. The fall of communism led to high export deals and so emerged groups based not on families ties but purely economical ones acting as hit men.

A global risk society: Current big threats are man made and not natural e.g. global warming instead of floods

McLaughlin: Political crimes (censorship, corruption) security/policing crimes (torture/genocide), economic crimes, and cultural crimes (institutionalised racism e.g. Stephen Lawrence)

Cohen’s spiral of denial. We didn’t do it, if we did it its not what you think it was, if we did do it then its justified.

Victims are dehumanised and mass murder becomes routine e.g. Nazis. could this be linked to Trump and islamophobia?
