Define health
A
A state of complete physical, social, and mental wellbeing an not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Define a non-communicable disease
A
A medical condition or disease that is by definition non-infectious and non-transmissible among people.

Define morbidity
A
Relates to illness and disease. It can also be used to describe the incidence of a disease within society.

Define mortality
A
This relates to death. It can be measured by death rate, infant mortality, case mortality, and attack rate.

What 3 things is global health linked to?
A
- The physical environment (where air and water quality is important)
- The economic environment (affects the type of housing and jobs they do)
- The social environment (determining where an individual is educated or lives)
