ocean temps increase because they absorb much of the heat on the earths surface
As sea tempretures increase the intensity and frequency of huricanes in the north atlantic has increased

what has the impact been in the arctic regions?

A

loss of habitats in the arctic aswell as ncreased sea levels
in the arctic regions sea ice melting results in decline in the walrus/seal populations as they use ice as diving platforms to catch fish - this then results in lack of food for the polar bears (food chain)

as a result more spending would be required of flood defence, repair to damages etc
