why is it hard to Dx?

A

disease of EXCLUSION (rule out other possibilities)

  1. tonometry-mythological “glaucoma test”
  2. differential Dx: visual field loss
  3. genetics
  4. epidemiology

hard of Dx..
pt can lose 80-90% peripheral vision & still see fine
*no functional changes!
