Puberty Associated Gingivitis
A
- Increased effect of steroid hormones
- Increased inflammation in the prescence of small amounts of plaque
- Modified further by local factors- caries, crowding, appliances

Pregnancy Associated Gingivitis
A
- Increased in 2nd and 3rd trimester
- Decreases pot-partum
- Probing depth deeper
- Bleeding on probing and toothbrushing increases

Pyogenic Granuloma
A
- Solitary capillary haemangioma
- Painless, mushroom like exophytic mass
- Arises from gingival margin or interproximal space
- Dissapears post-martum

A
Anti-convulsant (phenytoin, sodium valproate)
Immunosuppressants (Cyclosporin A)
Calcium channel blockers (nifedipine, verampamil)

Leukemia gingivitis oral manifestations
A
- Petichae
- Mucosal Ulcers
- Gingival inflammation
- swollen, glazed, spongy, red to deep purple, bleeding
- Gingival enlargement

Linear Gingival Erythema
A
- AKA HIV associated gingivitis
- 2-3 mm marginal band of intense erythema in free gingiva
- May extend to attached gingiva- focal or diffuse
- Poor therapy outcomes
- Incidence reduced after the advent of anti-retroviral therapy

Hereditary gingival fibromatosis
A
- Slowly growing after eruption of permanent teeth
- Non-hemorrhagic and firm
- Histologically- dense fibrotic CT and epithelial hyperplasia
