A

debridement done prior
local anesthesia
instrument selection (curettes)
blade placed against tissue
-horizontal 4 interproximal
-vertical 4 facial n oral
curette placed subgingivally at the bottm of sulcus
cutting edge directed towards soft tissue
curette pulled along with tissue
finger placed against gingiva externally 4 controlled pressure
gingival pocket irrigated w saline water or oral antiseptic
gentle pressure to stop hemmorhage n reattachment
seperated interdental papillae may require sutures
surgical dressing may b indicated
