The desire to promote the welfare of others expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes. (to love people)

One of the powerful 19th-century U.S. industrialists and financiers. made fortunes through trust with business practices overall.
Robber Barons
The action of joining a group or nation, especially in a political context.
