What are the side effects of Bethanechol?
flushing, sweating, urgency, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, N/V, salivation, heart block, syncope/ cardiac arrest
How do you treat an OD for Bethanechol?
atropine sulfate

take on an empty stomach, one hour or two hour after meals to prevent N/V

drowsiness, restless, extrapyramidal syndrome, tardive dyskinesia , neuroleptic malignant syndrome

monitor for N/V, abdominal distension, bowel sounds, and antipsychotic med type symptoms (neuorleptic malignant syndrome, tardive dyskinesia, extrapyramidal syndrome, neuroleptic malignant syndrome
