Why were they used?
To isolate Jews by departing Jewish communities from the non-Jewish communities.
How were ghettos used in world war 2?
They were city districts where Jewish population was forced to live, in miserable conditions.
There were three types
Of ghettos what were they?
Closed ghettos, open ghettos and destruction ghettos.
What were Jews forced to do in the ghettos?
Germans ordered Jews to wear identifying badges or armbands and had to do forced labour for the German Reich. Also they were deported from the ghettos to killing centres.
What was the largest ghetto uprising to take place?
The Warsaw ghetto uprising in spring 1943.
What was the larger ghetto?
The Warsaw ghetto in Poland where more than 40,000 Jews were crowded into an area of 1.3 square miles.
