Define GTD
a rare condition that occurs due to abnormal proliferation of trophoblastic cells inside the uterus, after conception

Teens, over 35, previous molar/history, or of Asian origin
Clinical presentation of GTD
Irregular uterine bleeding, excessive uterine enlargement, hyperthyroidism
What imaging suspects a molar pregnancy, and what confirms?
Ultrasound suspects it, and Histology confirms it
So what would a complete Mole look like via ultrasound
A snowstorm or a Punch of grapes appearance.
Management of molar pregnancy?
Evacuation of the uterus via Suction Curettage.
A complete hydatiform mole is characterized by purely paternal, or maternal chromosomes?
Paternal
A partial mole is most commonly diagnosed as?
A missed miscarriage
Why is medical management avoided in molar pregnancy?
Risk of disseminating trophoblastic tissue
Anti-D immunoglobulin should be given after molar pregnancy evacuation in which patients?

How long does hCG monitoring continue after normalization for a complete mole?
6 months
