Q

Example of Law of common fate?

A

A flock of geese moving across the sky, they are all going the same direction at the same speed.

17
Q

Everything about the Law of Prägnanz?

A

Also known as the Law of simplicity this law is about how we perceive and interpret complex images as the simplest forms possible. Then our minds organise the complex image until we can find meaning. This is a fundamental principle of gestalt.

18
Q

Example of the Law of Prägnanz?

A

The Olympic logo is perceived as overlapping circles when it’s actually an assortment of curves and connected lines.

19
Q

List the Gestalt principles: (hint: PCCCSF&G + the laws)

A

Proximity, contiguity, continuation, closer, simplicity, figure and ground, law of common fate and law of Prägnanz

20
Q

What are the “gestalt principles”? (Def, don’t list)

A

Gestalt is a psychology term which means “unified whole” which tries to describe how people tend to organise visual elements into groups or unified wholes

21
Q

List the gestalt principles:

A

Proximity, contiguity, continuation, closure, similarity, figure and ground, law of common fate and law of prägnanz
