How does lateral medullary syndrome present?

A
  1. Vestibular nucleus involvement:
    - vertigo
    - vomiting
    - Oscillopsia
    - Nystagmus
  2. Restiform body and cerebellar involvement:
    - Ataxia
  3. Descending sympathetic involvement
    - Horner syndrome
  4. 9th and 10th cranial nerve involvment causes hoarseness and dysphagia
  5. Spinothalamic tract involvement causes pain and temperature involvement.
