What are sedimentary rocks formed from

A

Particles that have been eroded over time and deposited into layers. A sedimentary rock could be sandstone. Or sedimentary rock can be formed from remains of plants and animals like chalk and limestone.

A

Made from volcanic activity when magma cools forming rocks made of crystals. E.g. Granite and basalt

A

Formed from other rocks changed by extreme pressure or heat. These rocks are very hard. E.g. Shale to slate or limestone to marble.
