A fertile area in a desert that is watered by a spring.
Oasis
A body of land completely surrounded by water.
Island
An area between mountains.
Valley
A high landform with steep sides, higher than a hill.
Mountain
A stream of water that flows across the land and empties into another body of water.
River
A dry environment with few plants and animals.
Desert
An area with common features that set it apart from other areas.
Region
All the surroundings of a place including water, plants and animals.
Environment
The natural plant life of an area
Vegetation
A feature of Earth’s surface. (ex: mountains, plains, plateaus)
