A

Globalisation is the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected. It is the spread of culture and the movement of people, money, goods, ideas (and sometimes problems) around the world. We now communicate, trade, travel and share each other’s cultures more easily around the world.

Quality of Life

A

The WHO defines it as “an individual’s perception of their position of life in the context of their culture and value systems in which they live an din relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns”.
It is linked to the overall social, economic and environmental wellbeing of individuals and populations. Some indicators of QoL include: Jobs and income, housing conditions, health, education, environmental quality etc.

Fast Fashion

A

Fast fashion is a contemporary term use by fashion retailers to express that designs move from catwalk quickly to capture current fashion trends. A second, critical definition adds that fast fashion is not only about quickly moving from runway to store to consumer, but also to the garbage.
