Q

Reason one for overfishing

A

Ireland is a member of the EEC, this meant that Ireland gave up control of their waters to the EEC. Therefore Ireland did not control or have acces to the amount of fish that could be caught. Which meant countries with much bigger populations and fishing industries could fish in Irish waters

27
Q

Reason two advantages on wind energy

A

Economically it cites our reliance on foreign imports of oil and gassses which are highly expensive

28
Q

Deforestation negative impact

A

One negative impact is the increase of CO2 in our atmosphere. Increased CO2 will trap even more UV radiation, therefore leading to global warming. Global warming will lead to melting ice bergs which means high sea levels. This could lead to floods in the coastal areas.
