What’s a renewable source?
Something that can be used again, can be replaced in your lifetime.
What’s a non renewable source?
Something that can be replaced in your life time. Eg fossil fuels; coal, oil, gas.
What does sustainable mean?
Something that will last, ensuring that there will be resources for future generations to enjoy.
What does resources mean?
Things that we use- eg coal, oil, gas to produce electricity.
What’s the difference between oceanic and continental crust?
Oceanic- made of basalt, heavy denser.
Continental- made of granite, lighter , thicker.
What does coal produce?
Produces a lot of energy.
What does gas produce?
Produces a lot of energy.
Is oil cheap of expensive?
Cheap.
What is the ring of fire?
A chain of volcanoes in the Pacific Ocean.
What happens?
They erupt as they are all active.
How are earthquakes measured?
They are measured on the Richter scale ( magnitude )
How are the tremors measured?
Seismometer measured earthquake tremors.
Name all the plates.
Eurasian plates - looks like droopy slime.
Pacific plates - looks like half a face.
Antartican plates - at the bottom.
African plates - looks long.
Australian plates - has a hole in.
Narzca plates - looks like a carrot.
North + South American plates- at the bottom has sharp thing.
