Allele
A different form of a gene that codes for a different version of a characteristic

A description of the pair of alleles present for a charateristic

What is a clone?
A clone is an organism that is genetically identical to its parents.
What is variation
Humans, dogs and goldfish are examples of species.
Different species have very different characteristics from each other.
Cystic fibrosis
A person with cystic fibrosis have thicker mucus than normal leading to blocking lungs so harder to breath.
Selectively breeding
Decide which characteristic is most important. In this example the famer wishes to select sheep that produce large, good-quality fleeces
