The five inner beliefs

A

The five inner beliefs: 1. I focus on only the things I have total control over: my effort and my attitude. 2. I am thankful for what I do and I attack each day with joy and enthusiasm. 3. I don´t give others control, I trust my judgement and I ignore the naysayers. 4. I am relentless and I take an active approach. I do not depend on the circumstances, I create them 5. I Don´t let fear hold me back. If you don’t create discomfort from the inside, I’ll guarantee you that you’ll soon be forced to experience discomfort from the outside – and it’s going to feel much worse.

The Identity Statement

A

To create your identity statement, answer the following questions: 1. What is the foremost strength you possess (or want to possess) that proves you can achieve greatness? (Example: “I am more motivated than my competition.”) What do you ultimately hope to accomplish in your sport? (Example: “I am the most effective sport psychology consultant in the world.”) 3. Put both parts together, assuring that you use the present tense. (Example: “I am more motivated than my competition; I am the most effective sport psychology consultant in the world.”) This is your identity statement.

BOSSES DON’T GIVE OTHERS CONTROL My confidence was too dependent on her opinion, and not my own. It’s impossible to be confident when you permit others to bulldoze any brick houses you’ve built
12. BOSSES SHOW GRATITUDE Take time to appreciate what you have and show gratitude to the good people in your life
16. BOSSES DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF Now imagine you’re getting bitten by an ant while getting chased by a rhino. Are you going to stop and scratch your ant bite? In relation to the rhino, the ant biting you is pretty insignificant. Next time you’re confronted with a problem, try to see the bigger picture. Will this problem majorly affect your life, or will the consequences be short-lived and minor?
15. BOSSES DON’T DWELL ON THE PAST OR FUTURE Most humans are never fully present in the now.
34. BOSSES FOCUS OUTWARDLY
35. BOSSES TAKE AN ACTIVE APPROACH Appear more confident and in control by taking an active approach to everything. “Any action is often better than no action, especially if you have been stuck in an unhappy situation for a long time. “ —Eckhart Tolle
36. BOSSES GAIN CONFIDENCE BY GOING FIRST Perhaps one of the quickest and easiest techniques for achieving a new level of confidence. Make it a game! When you go first, you win a point.
If you don’t create discomfort from the inside, I’ll guarantee you that you’ll soon be forced to experience discomfort from the outside – and it’s going to feel much worse.
To elude a storm one must either sail into it or away from it… but you must never await it´s coming!

21
Q

A 4-step process to prepare yourself mentally To strengthen your mental resilience, I invite you to follow the process below:

A
  1. Write down the worst-case scenarios. What would be the absolute worst nightmare? Just imagine the worst and write anything that comes to mind. 2.Visualize yourself experiencing these scenarios. If the worst-case scenarios were to happen, how would you feel? What kind of thoughts would cross your mind? Visualize yourself experiencing them as vividly as possible. 3. Write down what you would do to overcome these challenges. For each scenario, write down briefly what you would, or could, do to overcome these challenges. 4. Ask yourself what you’re willing to endure before giving up. What would make you give up on your goal? Deciding when to give up will help you persevere. As long as the conditions aren’t met, you simply have to keep going.
