It also includes the role of ethical reason in rendering an ethical judgment and the true meaning of ethical terms

Literally means ethics far beyond the physical world, that is the rule of power and the will of Almighty God over human reasoning

Subdisciplines include environmental, medical, social, and business ethics
APPLIED ETHICS
Attempts to adopt a defensible theoretical framework and then derive the normative advice by applying the theory
APPLIED ETHICS
Most important ethical approach due to its broad application
APPLIED ETHICS
Implies the institution of moral conduct in regulating what is right or wrong
NORMATIVE ETHICS
Bridges the gap between meta-ethics and applied ethics
NORMATIVE ETHICS
Attempts to establish that an act is right from wrong or distinguish a good act from a
bad one

The basic principle is the Golden Rule, which is governed by 3 theories:

Based on the premise that if the outcomes are good, then the related actions can be good regardless of the motive of the actor
