  1. Volato aircraft unattended by Volato personnel must have their doors secured; preferably with security tape; and should be parked in areas not conducive to vandalism or sabotage. Additionally; to preclude the possibility of accidental damage by vehicles or taxiing aircraft; Volato aircraft should be positioned in well-lighted areas and/or in areas where they are clearly visible. If local conditions require enhanced security; experienced personnel should be retained.
  2. Complete interior and exterior inspections should be made prior to each new complete start-up cycle of an unattended aircraft.
  3. When the aircraft doors are open; the aircraft shall not be out of visual range of a Volato Aircraft Technician or crewmember.
  4. When the aircraft is being serviced; at least one Volato Aircraft Technician or crewmember shall be in the immediate vicinity.
  5. When operating an aircraft APU; a crewmember or Volato Aircraft Technician shall be in the aircraft or in the immediate vicinity.
  6. When airport security is limited and/or suspect; the PIC must ensure the aircraft is airworthy prior to departure. Measures to consider include; but are not limited to locking all doors; emergency exits; fueling panels; maintenance access doors; arming security devices; taping cabinets and access panels; and; disconnecting batteries and start connectors;
  7. Any maintenance or line personnel not associated with Volato who board the aircraft should be accompanied by a crewmember.
  8. Crewmembers should monitor all fueling. If malicious intent is suspected; crewmembers should determine; either directly from the truck pump or from fuel samples taken by the FBO; that the fuel is pure; and
  9. When operating away from Volato facilities; crewmembers should always leave a local contact telephone numberwiththeFBO.

  1. How does the PIC arrange for maintenance when away from home base?
A

Ensure that all personnel servicing the aircfraft away from the home base will have knowledge and training In the aicraft. If not; the PIC or his/her designee personally will assist in accordance with AFM.
All maintenance away from home base must be authorized by the director of maintenace.
Maintenance discrepancies occurring away from home base where adequate maintenance facilities for repair are not available shall be addressed using the APPROVED Minimum Equipment List (MEL) for the aircraft. The PIC will contact the Director of Maintenance or his/her designee for guidance. If the MEL is used; the PIC must further complete GCA Forms SQ-1 and MELT-1 as follows: (SQ-1)

• In “Item No.” enter the MEL Chapter and Item Number
