ADC (architectural design competition)
Advantage of ADC
- opportunities will be open only to PRC - registered and licensed architects (RLA) or PRC - registered architectural firms
- the client/committee will have a wider range of options
Disadvantage of ADC
- process may be expensive and time consuming
- the time and effort may discourage qualified firms from participating
- clients will seek free services under the guise of design competition
IAPOA
Integrated and accredited professional organizations of architects
The person or organization that undertakes or promotes an adc with the primary objective of obtaining excellence in design for a project or for a development concept
Client/ owner/ sponsor
Filipino/ Philippine-registered and licensed architects (RLA) and IAPOA members in good standing
Competitors

Paying the annual fees
Foreign architects as a competitor must be
-registered in his/her counter of origin
-must secure a temporary special permit from the PRC
- a work permit from the DOLE (Department of Labor and employment)
- must work in collaboration with a filipino counterpart RLA
The people appointed by the owner to assess the entries to the competition .
Jury
The members of the jury are called
Jurors
An architect nominated by the owner and approved by the IAPOA to organize the adc on behalf of the owner
Professional advisor
Specialist personnel who may be consulted by the jurors during the conduct of the adc on behalf of the owner
