Fatigue history key bits to remember?
If woman check periods
Check diet
Check mood/depression
Explicitly ask about thyroid- constipation, hair thinning, cold intolerance
Ask explicitly about diabetes symptoms- polyuria, polydipsia
If children mentioned- number and age of children
If partner mentioned ask if they are supportive
Important to cover a fatigue history
Self discharge?
If you do self discharge it is against medical advice and need to fill out a form
Mention that the condition could be fatal if it could be fatal
Cover vaccines for OSCE communication skills

In woman check periods- if UTI history for example?
Periods regular? Very painful?
UTI history?
Remember blood in urine, check for loin pain- pyelonephritis
Paediatric history?
Remember birth, immunisations, nutrition and development milestones
Ask if anyone smokes at home if respiratory problem
Inspection?
Each examination potentially inspect from the end of the bed
Blood test to remember?
HbA1c
Potential blood tests?
FBC, U+Es, LFTs, TFTs, HbA1c, clotting, coag, group and save
Psych history bits to remember?
Check physical symptoms for anaemia/hypothyroidism
Check hallucinations, presence of any thought disorders, check previous mania/hypomania
Suicide risk and protective factors
CAGE on alcohol
In investigations/ management- say to do some bloods etc for organic problems
What to do if history including female- especially if about breast or gynae issue?
Menstrual history/ previous birth/pregnancy
Contraception
Colonoscopy/OGD?
Remember can be sedated for the procedure
Remember to tell them not to eat before the procedures
First fit to remember?
Remember to ask about driving/ DVLA
Make sure to ask about weakness/ sensation changes, twitching
Check stress levels
Remember to ask patient if they think anything has been missed
What to do if pain?
OFFER ANALGESIA
When saying further tests?
