Inspect
Measure, do a test of, or otherwise compare the item with the applicable requirements. Normally done by supervisor, quality control.
Examine
A comprehensive scrutiny supplemented by a physical security check to determine the condition of the item. To be cleaned prior.
Check
Compare the item with the specified standard. If the item does not meet the specified standard the supervisor is to be informed.
Husbandry
The control, care and maintenance required to preserve the quality and integrity of products, parts and appliances throughout its lifespan.
Apart from the 3 mandatory, when else should tool checks be carried out?
- When fitting a panel which would restrict access
- When directed by a supervisor at a convenient time
- When a task has been completed but the tools are not being returned
- When carrying out system checks where FOD would pose a threat to life/equipment
What information does a SDS contain?
- Storage of chemical
- Handling of chemical
- Emergency action
- Hazards
What do you do if a tool cannot be marked?
It must be stowed in a clearly defined location and a register of unmarked tools kept
