Q

What Do Crowning Studs Mean

A

Crowning Studs means that when placing the lumber the high side of the bow in the lumber is up. For walls it is not as critical which way you crown the lumber as long as all studs are crowned the same way. It is easiest to nail the wall together if the studs are crowned up so that the ends of the studs are on the floor and flush with the plates.
