What are the complications of brain tumors?

A
  • Benign (can be removed and patient will survive) and malignant terminology.
  • Destruction of vital centers.
  • Blocking passage of CSF and causing hydrocephalus.
  • Hemorrhage in the tumor.
  • Cerebral edema with herniation
  • Increased intracranial venous pressure will result in papilledema (“choked disk”).
