describe how gene probing works
A
DNA of interest denatured, single stranded.
Single stranded DNA segment complementary to what we want to find is artificially synthesised.
Anneals with segment of interest.
Fluorescently/radioactively labelled allowing us to find it.

A
done in place in chromosomes (fluorescent = FISH)

A
electrophoresis denaturing agent salt solution -> nylon -> paper towel -> weight fragments get stuck on nylon nylon put in solution with gene probe
