What is stereotyping?
An oversimplified idea based on widespread
beliefs on a persons gender, race etc
What is sexism?
Unfair or discriminatory behaviour towards someone base on their gender
Give an example of gender stereotyping?
From a young age, girls are praised when they are sweet and helpful while boys are praised when they are strong and assertive.
What is gender based abuse?
When men misuse their power and become violent. Men who abuse woman are acting illegally.
How can we prevent or stop gender based abuse?
If a woman is being abused, she should report the man to the police and the police must take action. The bill of rights also protects woman’s rights.
What is the woman’s bill of rights?
The woman’s bill of rights is a part of the bill of rights that protects all woman from abuse and sexism.
