Asexual
Someone that aligns with and supports a cause such as equal rights, gender equality, and LGBTQ
Ally
A person who is attracted to both men and women
Bisexual
How a person publicly expresses or presents their gender. Includes how they dress, body language, voice, and pronouns.
Gender expression
The personal sense of ones own gender. An individuals conception of oneself as male or female
Gender Identity
Used to describe individuals who are born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit the typical definitions of male or female.
Intersex
Used to characterize a women who is sexually or romantically attracted to other women
Lesbian
Used to describe sexual and gender identities other than straight and cisgender
Queer
Used to describe people that don’t identify as neither male nor female
Non-binary
When someone is still figuring out their gender identity and figuring out how they want to identify
Questioning
Used to describe someone who is attracted towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity
Pansexual
Structural and functional characteristics of a person that allows assignments as either male or female from birth
Biological sex
A persons identity in relation to the gender or genders to which they are sexually attracted
Sexual orientation
A gender identity or gender expression that differs from the sex that they were assigned at birth
