Gender Stereotypes show men being more strong and hardworking, while women are shown to be dainty and innocent
Describe “Drag Culture’ and explain the basic history.
Drag Culture is when a man dresses up and impersonates a woman. This was also prevalent in roman literature and live actions plays during the Shakespeare era.
Understand Liberal Feminism and Patriarchy.
Liberal Feminism is the belief that a woman can and should be able to do anything a man can do, while the patriarchy is the direct opposite.
Describe the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and the root causes for equality.
The Stonewall riots was a series of violent protests by the gay community to speak up against a police riad against a popular Inn consisting of LGBT people.
Be able to define Hegemonic Masculinity.
Hegemonic Masculinity is a concept that believes that men should be dominant over women.

Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera were drag performers that founded STAR (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries)
Understand “Masculine” and “Feminine” behaviors.
According to stereotypes, Men are more likely to be a leader, provider and logical, while women are more likely to be nurturing, caring and kind.
