  • If necessary, prompt TC coordinator to accept inbound traffic if it appears levels have become available
  • In low vis ops, collate individual aircraft IRVR requirements and pass to TC coordinator

  • Ensure planner is alerted if holding may be required
  • Ensure that en route holds are kept as level compact as possible. Monitor lateral extent of holding pattern
  • Monitor level availability of inner TMA holds and alert planner to prompt TC coordinator if required
  • Ensure that OCT is given. EAT or estimate of current delay to be transmitted
  • When delays are 15 mins or greater, reduce speed of affected aircraft to absorb delay

A

Expected approach time - time at which an aircraft is expected to be cleared to leave the inner holding facility, following a delay, to commence approach. EATs are issued when delays exceed 20 mins
