DE away from flow against stretch?
And on OT hip checking for CBR
DE against flow to stretch?
Inside punch in the EM LOS, squeeze him into backside gap, keep outside arm free. Step first with inside foot, punch with inside arm aiming your hand to strike the chest/sternum of the blocker.
When does the 3 technique not take a first step towards OG?
When the OG steps towards us, then step towards the OT first.
In zone blocking, what does an offensive lineman’s footwork look like?
45° step forwards off line of scrimmage.
Versus a zone stretch play, what is the proper footwork?
First step towards OG, but because he is stepping toward us, the second step goes towards OT then flat down the line of scrimmage.
What is the proper footwork for a 3 technique versus a reach block?
Again, first app is that OG. When we recognize reach block, second step will be flat. Rip any attempts at a block using your inside arm and go flat down the scrimmage.
3 technique foot work and technique versus trap away.
First step to OG; as you feel him leave follow him into the LOS, get flat down the line of scrimmage and be careful not to get cut by the OT.
Three technique response versus a down-down block.
Again, first step is to OG. Get hands on him and squeeze him into the opposite gap. Get your eyes into the backfield.
What is the difference between cover three and cover six?
The coverages are the same; the only real difference is between personnel. Cover three = a Sam linebacker; cover six = a nickel.
What does the pull call do?
Sets the runs strength to the rush end.
